Ran 8 with the group, 8 on my own. 2:17 min. 8:36 pace. Had a granola bar before the run and a gu and some water at mile 10. Felt good today. No problems. After almost two years of not using the blog I am back. I did the Ironman in 2010 then got pregnant, had baby #4, got back in shape, ran a trail marathon last Sept. and had an awful time! I should have just enjoyed the year. been lazy, slept in, started off slowly but that's not really not my style. I started biking at 6 weeks and running by 8 and ran the Mid Mountain Marathon at 6 months post baby. Probably not the best idea. I got a stomach ulcer in the weeks before the race (I had no idea) and just about died during the run. I had look forward to this race for a year and did not want to quit so I just suffered the whole time! Hardest run of my life! I just couldn't figure out why I felt so bad and kept thinking it would get better. I sat down at every aid station and cried! Anyway... 6 months later I figured out what it was, stopped eating dairy and now am feeling great again. I have a big year planned and am trying to train myself and need somewhere to record my progress. I have tried just writing things down on paper but I feel more apt to train harder whenI know it's for the world to see. No one will probably ever see it but I feel like I will push myself more when I have to blog about something??? So I have to Moab Red Hot 50k in 2 weeks (not ready at all, may just do the 2o miler), the Antelope 50k in March, The Grand Canyon R2R2R in May and the Pocatello 50 in June. I signed up for the Wasatch 100 (peer pressure) but am thinking I will bail before the lottery and get my money back. It is keeping me up at night, with fear and anxiety!! I have been dreaming of that race since I was like 12 yrs. old but don't think I am ready yet. I think I could finish but it would be a suffer fest!! I think I should wait till my kids are older and I can have more time to train. Anyway I hit 41 miles this week, yea!!! the most I've done in a LONG time! I need another big week next week then taper for the race. I've been doing a lot more strength training these days, a couple times a week. Mostly the p90x videos for legs on my off days. I feel a lot stronger now when I run. Also some biking and xc skiing which I love. So here we go, time to train, two weeks before the race. I need to change my procrastinating ways!!
